Do I need to be 25 to rent a cabin?

YES, you must be 25 or older to rent a cabin in Big Bear Lake due to city ordinance. You must present your ID upon in-person check-in to verify your age.

 

How do I check in?

Check-in is located at our office, 41011 Big Bear BLVD. You MUST check-in in-person to enter your cabin. You also must be 25 years or older. Only the reservation holder may check in at the office. Upon check-in, the “Good Neighbor Policy” will be reviewed with you then an email containing your cabin information will be sent for check-in. Check-In Time Check-In is 4 pm! (Holiday check-in is different.)

 

How do I check out?

Check-out is simple! There is no need to come back to the office. Check-out is at 11 am. Notice Holiday Check Out 10 am.

To check out, please perform a light clean.

  1. Remove all Trash and Recycle from vacation rental when leaving (Trash and Recycle Facilities are located: 39690 Big Bear Blvd. just East of Cienega Rd, Big Bear Lake or 41974 Garstin Rd. across from Moonridge Rd. Big Bear Lake.)
  2. Place all dishes in the dishwasher and start a cycle. Wash any dishes that are not being washed in the dishwasher.
  3. Replace silverware and utensils in proper drawers.
  4. Turn off all appliances (coffee maker, toaster, etc.), lights, and running water.
  5. Turn down linens on used beds.

 

Can I have an Early Check-In / Late Check-Out?

While we LOVE to give guests additional time so that you can enjoy your stay even more, we cannot always guarantee an early check-in or a late check out until the day of your reservation. We want to make sure the cabin is ready before you check in. NO early check-ins or late check-outs from December 15st-January 10th.

 

Do you welcome Pets?

Yes, we love to welcome your furry friends IF the cabin you choose is Pet-Friendly. Look for the BLUE PAW next to your cabin to find out. We welcome up to two dogs; sorry, no cats welcome. There is a pet fee, $25 per dog per night, $250 per fee maximum. Please pick up after your pet outdoors, and do not leave your pets unattended! Please bring a pet bed or a crate for your furry friend and bring them with you when you leave for the day. We would love to continue providing pet-friendly homes for guests in the future and ask you to respect the homes as if it were your own. 🙂

 

What is your cancellation policy?

If the reservation is WITHIN 30 days of arrival, the reservation is NON-REFUNDABLE. If your reservation is outside of the 30-day arrival, we allow cancellations with a $150 or 15% cancellation fee!

 

Do you have an APP?

YES, we have an app! Once you book your reservation, you will get an app invite for our “Hospitality: Glad to have You” App! This app will give you all the information on your reservation, cabin, check-in, check out, deals and specials, and things to do in Big Bear!

 

Do you offer travel insurance?

Yes, we offer travelers’ insurance! You can purchase it as you make your reservation. Upon using the insurance, you will submit your claim to the insurance company, not Big Bear Lakefront Cabins.

 

Is booking ahead cheaper?

Sometimes booking in advance is cheaper but sometimes its not! Rates fluctuate WEEKLY. If you wait too long, there may not be any cabins left as we sell out in peak seasons! CALL US for seasonal discounts! 909-547-6015

 

Are there any specials or discounts available? 

Check out our Specials Page for any current discounts we are offering. These discounts are NOT just for cabins! We also partner with many companies around Big Bear to provide you with many specials!

 

How do I go about booking a cabin?

You may book 24/7 online or by calling one of our reservationists at 909-547-6015

 

What documents do I need to check in?

At check-in, you must present your driver’s license and the credit/debit cards you used to make any payments.

 

Can someone else check in to my reservation for me?

No, the credit card holder must be present at check-in with a proper ID and the credit card used to book the reservation.

 

Why do I have to dispose of my trash?

Trash disposal at check-out is a citywide ordinance for vacation rentals. If you would like to purchase a trash pick-up, don’t hesitate to contact one of our reservationists. Trash pickup fees are $25 for 10-bags of trash.

 

How far away is Big Bear Lake?

All of our homes are within a few miles of the Big Bear Lake! The distance to the lake is listed in the property description.

 

Can you swim in Big Bear Lake?

Big Bear Lake is public and free to access. You can swim in it as long as you stay within 50 feet of the shoreline.

 

Are events allowed in the homes?

No party, wedding, or other gathering exceeding occupancy limits is permitted at any time. The City of Big Bear Lake enforces this.

 

Can I pay cash for my reservation?

We require all reservations to be paid in full 30 days prior to your arrival. We do NOT allow cash or check and require a 20% deposit for any reservation that is outside of the 30-day period.

 

Are linens provided?

All linens are provided except for lake, spa, or pool towels.

 

Is firewood/propane/charcoal provided?

Firewood is not provided.

 

Can I park an RV at my Vacation Rental?  

City and county ordinances prohibit RV parking at any Vacation rental.

 

Can I park a Boat at my Vacation Rental?

If there is space, boat parking is allowed at vacation rentals. You are NOT allowed to launch your boat from any lakefront cabin! Don’t hesitate to contact us at 909-547-6015 to find rentals with room for boat parking.

 

Do you require a deposit for reservations?

Yes, we require a 20% deposit for any reservation that is not within 30 days. 30-days prior, your reservation is paid in full.

 

Do your cabins have A/C?

Most cabins in Big Bear do not have A/C. The weather is ideal in the Summer, and breezes are enough to cool down a cabin. We do provide fans within the homes in addition to ceiling fans if asked.

 

Is there snow in Big Bear?  

The first snowfall can be as early as October, but typically, November – March is when snowfall occurs. Check Bens Weather for up-to-date information.

 

What is Big Bear’s primary show season?

November-March is Big Bears BEST snow months. Some years, it can start in October and end in April.

 

Do I need chains for my car?

By law, you must carry chains in your vehicle when traveling the mountains in WINTER months, even if they are not required to be on your tires. At any time, Highway Patrol may stop you to confirm they are in your vehicle. Vehicles with 4-wheel drive also need to carry chains. If you have any questions about the road conditions or whether or not chains are required, the best number to call would be The Road and Snow line at (909) 866-ROAD (7623).

 

Can you park on the street? 

Street parking is not allowed anywhere in Big Bear. Each property has a maximum number of parking spaces in the driveway; some cabins allow additional garage access.

 

Does my cabin allow garage Access?

Some of our cabins allow garage access! Check the cabin description to find out if garage access is allowed in your preferred cabin.

 

Is there a curfew?

Yes, the use of an outdoor spa or any other activity that disturbs the peace is prohibited between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am. No noise or loud music is allowed to be heard at the property line at any given time. The city of Big Bear Lake enforces this; code enforcement will be called by neighbors if broken.

 

What if I am arriving after business hours? 

Please call one of our reservationists to arrange for after-hours check-in. 909-547-6015.

 

Can I add additional guests, cars, or pets to my reservation?

Each property has a maximum occupancy and a maximum number of cars; please follow that guide and call us to add additional people, cars, or pets. 909-547-6015

 

How much are cabins in Big Bear?

Cabins in Big Bear vary in cost depending on the dates of stay and the size of the cabin.

Do you require a deposit? Will I receive it back?

We require a deposit on SELECT homes. You will be notified if the home you are booking requires a deposit. The deposit is charged before your stay and will be returned to you upon inspection of the home after your stay.

 

Is booking ahead of my stay cheaper?

Sometimes booking in advance is cheaper! If you wait too long, there may not be any cabins left as we sell out in peak seasons!
