June 17 – X Ambassadors

X Ambassadors – Sam Nelson Harris, Casey Harris and Adam Levin – made their full-length debut with VHS, a 2015 release that saw the band transition from Ithaca alt-rockers and Brooklyn-indie-scene outsiders to Billboard stalwarts. Certified platinum, VHS provided an intimate look at Sam and his brother Casey’s youth, delivering the genre-defying, multi-platinum hits “Unsteady” and “Renegades” and leading to a three-year global touring odyssey as well as a string of high-profile festival performances.

VHS was followed by X Ambassadors’ 2019 sophomore album ORION, which the band supported with an extensive headline tour of the U.S. A project inspired by ’60s and ’70s soul and R&B, the band’s Belong EP, arrived in March 2020.

2021 saw the band release (Eg), a multi-part series featuring collaborations with an eclectic mix of emerging artists featuring up-and-coming artists Terrell Hines, Jensen McRae and Earl St. Clair. (Eg) was conceived as an outlet for X Ambassadors’ more free-flowing and left-of-center impulses. The project was a natural progression for the hyper-creative and highly collaborative band, whose output includes producing and writing for global superstars like Rihanna and working extensively with Lizzo on her massively successful 2019 album Cuz I Love You (including co-writing and producing tracks like “Jerome,” winner of Best Traditional R&B Performance at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY® Awards).

X Ambassadors shared their new single, the darkly cinematic “My Own Monster,” Released via KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records on June 11, 2021, “My Own Monster” is a moody psychodrama in the form of a groove-heavy pop song and marks the start of a compelling new lyrical direction for X Ambassadors as they gear up to release their third studio album.

June 24 – Debbie Gibson

Debbie Gibson burst onto the music scene at 16 and instantly became the youngest artist in history to write, produce and perform a number one hit, “Foolish Beat.” She is still the youngest female and has held the world record for over three decades. Gibson has sold more than 16 million albums and has starred in 17 musicals in 17 years, from Broadway’s Les Miserables to the West End’s Grease.

In 2019, Gibson joined NKOTB on The Mixtape Arena Tour. Later that year, she also served as a celebrity judge on Nickelodeon’s “America’s Most Musical Family.” In 2020, her single “Girls Night Out” soared to No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard and U.K. MusicWeek charts. In 2021, her guest starring role in the musical episode of “Lucifer” debuted May 28 on Netflix. Gibson filmed “The Class” with Anthony Michael Hall and Charlie Gillespie. She completed her “Debbie Gibson & Joey McIntyre: Live from Las Vegas” mini-residency at The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas. Gibson’s new duet of “Lost in Your Eyes,” featuring Joey McIntyre, was released June 4, her new single, “One Step Closer,” was released July 16, and her first pop album in 20 years, The Body Remembers, was released August 20, all on her own label Stargirl Records. The new album promptly shot up to No. 2 on the Apple Pop Sales Charts and achieved one million streams in one month.

Stargirl Records released her new, original song “Christmas Star” on November 12. On January 14, 2022, Stargirl Records released “One Step Closer Remixes” reaching No. 3 on the Swiss dance charts and is currently climbing the charts in both the UK and in Germany. The vinyl release of The Body Remembers was released on January 21. From No. 1 hits and platinum albums to starring roles on stage and screen, Debbie Gibson is a true entertainer with timeless talent and charisma.

July 1 – Drake White

Drake White grew up singing in his church’s youth choir in Alabama before becoming one of Country music’s most spirited innovators, earning four Top 40 hits and traveling the country on multiple nationwide tours. His 2013 debut single “Simple Life” introduced his brand of Country Soul, which he cemented with 2016 debut album SPARK followed by the EPs ‘Pieces’ and ‘Stars.’ In August 2019, he collapsed on stage due to a hemorrhagic stroke, and doctors told him he might never perform again. After undergoing a series of operations and months of physiotherapy, White has proved them wrong returning to the road to spread his incredible positivity to his fans.

He’s currently on tour with Whiskey Myers and will return to his headline THE OPTIMYSTIC TOUR in Spring 2022.

His new album, THE OPTIMYSTIC, is an inspiring glimpse into the journey he has taken over the past few years. It is a statement of strength and resilience sure to speak to the survivor in each of us and inspire us all to reach for our best selves. It is also a fitting touchstone for a nation and world re-emerging from the shadow of the pandemic and political and social turmoil. THE OPTIMYSTIC is, above all, a musical declaration of renewal.

“I’m a relentless optimist,” says White, “I’ve always been a glass half full guy…I know what it feels like to lose everything I’d worked on musically, to have no money coming in, to have to learn to walk again and not know if I’d ever get anything back, and I can speak with authority now about what it’s like to trust and dream and work and come back from that.” He is still re-learning guitar, but he knows the ordeal has strengthened his voice. “I can’t wait for people to hear this record. Seeing these dates lined up and going out and representing Country music live, it’s just an honor. We’re going to tear it apart every single time we’re on that stage.”

White has received accolades including Rolling Stone’s 10 Country Artists You Need to Know, The Grammy’s Artist of Tomorrow and the British CMA Awards’ International Song of the Year and has shared the bill with Country music superstars like Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Zac Brown Band.
