Starting at 7:00 PM from Garstin Island, the colorful boat parade cruises along the shoreline to the North Shore East Boat Ramp. Each participating boat glows with creative lighting, bringing a floating festival of lights right to Big Bear Lake. Spectators can enjoy the parade from lakeside viewing points AND Lakefront Rentals! —and the best part? It’s free to watch.
Drone Show Grand Finale
Stick around after the boat parade for a dazzling Drone Show hosted by Visit Big Bear. It’s a high-tech twist on fireworks that fills the sky with motion, patterns, and lights—all reflected on the lake. It starts right after the boats wrap up around 9:00 PM.

If you’re a local or second homeowner, you can register your boat for just $100 (sponsored entries available for up to 100 boats thanks to Visit Big Bear). Your participation goes beyond fun—proceeds benefit local food banks, scholarships, and schools.

Arrive no later than 6:30 PM.

Pick up your entry number on August 31 between 10 AM – 2 PM at:
Big Bear Visitor Center, 40824 Big Bear Blvd, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315 -
Mount the number clearly on the port side.

Return the number sign to the Visitor Center the next day.

A California Boater Card is required to operate.
