We strongly recommend you purchase Travelers Insurance!

Our cancellation policy does NOT provide refunds for unexpected events, including Illness, Injury, Family Emergencies, Surgery, Unforeseen Weather, Power Outages, or Natural Disasters. Please purchase Travelers Insurance is recommended!!

Vacation Rental Insurance can be made available with your reservation for a short window at the time of your booking. Vacation Rental Insurance provides coverage for prepaid, non-refundable expenses due to certain unforeseeable circumstances that may jeopardize your vacation investment and force you to incur unplanned expenses. We strongly recommend you purchase this valuable protection TODAY. Separate terms and conditions apply. Read your Description of Coverage/Policy carefully and contact CSA at (866) 999-4018 with coverage questions.

Power Outages – To reduce wildfire risk, Bear Valley Electric and other Southern California utilities may shut off power during high fire danger. These Public Safety Power Shutoffs can happen without notice and are beyond our control. They are not grounds for refunds or reservation changes.

Eviction – Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules, Good Neighbor Policy and expectations will be evicted without a refund. In addition, costly citations may be issued to the undersigned. I Guest am aware of the City Ordinances per the GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY and am willing to comply. The Guest will be responsible for all Code Enforcement Rules listed here, and the Guest will be responsible for any charges and fines for violation of any of these agreements.

Problems upon Arrival? – We’re so glad you’re here and want your stay to be a 5-Star experience. If you notice anything upon arrival that needs attention, please reach out right away so we can take care of it for you. 909.547.6015 for any urgent matters. 

Water Levels – Please note for LAKEFRONT CABINS: Lake water levels fluctuate throughout the year due to seasonal weather and environmental factors. Photos of docks and water access are for reference only and may not reflect current lake conditions at the time of your stay. Dock access may be limited or unavailable for some boat types. We recommend checking the current lake level before arrival.

NOISE ORDINANCE – Be Respectful of Neighbors – Not everyone around you is on vacation. While we encourage an enjoyable time, please NOTICE that there is a City Noise Ordinance – No Loud Noise is allowed outside of the rental home after 7:00 pm, and no amplified music is allowed outdoors at any time. (Outside chatter can be much louder than you realize and becomes amplified in the evening air 🙂  

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS PERMISSIONS – Your email will be used to send periodic newsletters, promotions, and other information relating to marketing and communications. At any time, you may unsubscribe from these communications using the link at the bottom of emails or contact us directly.

Check-in time is 4:00 pm*. Check-out time is 11:00 am.* Holiday Check-in is at 4:00 pm, and Check-Out is 10:00 am from December 15th to January 10th.

Check-in time cannot always be guaranteed and may vary slightly depending on various circumstances.

All guests are required to send in a Virtual Verification to check-in and will be sent an email with proper check-in instructions on the day of arrival once the cabin is ready.  

I understand that I am renting a vacation rental home at my own risk, and I am assuming all risks associated with this rental and agree to hold harmless and indemnify Sierra Canyon Enterprises and its associates. 

Big Bear Lake Front Cabins, in partnership with Kind Traveler’s Every Stay Gives Back program, supports Friends of the Big Bear Zoo. The mission of Friends of the Big Bear Zoo is to inspire understanding, respect and environmentally responsible action by the stewardship of wildlife and wildlife habitat through conservation, education, volunteer support, and fundraising. Through our community impact program, $1 per night will fund Friends of the Big Bear Zoo. 100% of funds are given to Friends of the Big Bear Zoo. IMPORTANT! VACATION RENTAL CLEANING and CARE

While this is your vacation, and you are not responsible for detailed cleaning, there are a few requests we ask of you while staying and upon checking out, some of which are requirements of a city ordinance.

 

  1. Lock doors and windows before leavingDouble Check E LOCK Door to ensure that it locks properly. If KEYS are used, replace keys in lockbox(DO NOT RETURN TO OFFICE!)

 

  1. IMPORTANT! Turn house HEATER down to 55 degreesDo NOT turn heater off,or pipes may freeze. (Big Bear is a cooler climate, air conditioning is not needed.) 

Do not use FAN MODE – this is for heater only and will not circulate cool air.

 

  1. BEDS – Please do notremake beds. Please do not strip beds. Leave all bedding and towels for our housekeeping staff to launder professionally. 

 

  1. TRASH and RECYCLE – help keep our wildlife safe.Remove all Trash and Recycle from vacation rental when leaving (City Ord.) – There is NO TRASH & RECYCLE pick up at vacation rental homes in Big Bear. ($150 min. fee for trash/recycling left at the house.) IMPORTANT: Please help keep our Wildlife Wild! Leaving trash outside (even in cans) attracts wild animals, causing concerns for their health and safety, and gets messy!

 

Trash and Recycling Facilities are located:

  • 39690 Big Bear Blvd., just East of Cienega Rd. across from the large brown PAC community building.
  • 41974 Garstin Rd., across from Moonridge Rd.

Please BRING YOUR RENTAL AGREEMENT on your phone. To drop off trash, you may need to show proof of your reservation with Big Bear Lakefront Cabins.

 

  1. DISHES – Place all dishes in the dishwasher and start cycle. Wash any remaining dishes that do not fit in dishwasher. Please do not put away dirty dishes! We would prefer you leave them in the sink than putting away dirty dishes to save time. Thank you.

 

  1. TOWELS – So that we can ensure clean WHITE towels for all guests, please do not use white towels and linens for cleaning. We provide a roll of paper towels for cleaning spills.

 

  1. ASHES – DO NOT REMOVE ashes from the fireplace and BBQ! Our staff will place ashes in the sealed metal ash bucket on the outside deck. City fire ordinance: Disposing of ashes anywhere other than the metal ash buckets is a severe fire hazard.

 

  1. Absolutely NO SMOKING inside any home. Cigarette butts must be placed in the METAL ASH BUCKET outside – City ordinance – Severe fire hazardand just plain litter.

 

  1. Please turn off all appliances (coffee maker, toaster, etc.), lights, and running water. 

 

  1. REMOTES! Return all remotes to their respective TV or stereo.(Do not put them in drawers, suitcases, couches, or beds.) Please return all TV, INTERNET & HDMI CABLES to their normal operating position. Hunting for remotes and rewiring TV cables takes time for our staff and can cause extra fees for guests.

 

  1. ALL cars must be parked in designated spaces. NO STREET PARKING! DO NOT exceed the maximum occupancy at any time. Big Bear strictly enforces these regulations, and failure to comply may result in the towing of your vehicle, a citation, and potential eviction, per City ordinance Code enforcement. 

 

  1. PETS: IF this cabin is pet friendly*, and if your DOG is joining you, make sure to BRING a PET BED or CRATE. We also love pets but insist they are not on the furniture. Please ensure pet hair is not on bedding or furniture and remove pet hair from floors and rugs, as not everyone loves pets as much as we do. Pets are not to be left unattended in the cabin, not even in a locked bathroom. PUYO Poo! Pick Up Your POO! *PLEASE NOTE, not all cabins are pet friendly. If you MUST bring a dog, we can move you to a pet-friendly cabin.

 

  1. IF this cabin has a PRIVATE HOT TUB*, please Keep the Hot Tub COVERED at All times when the spa is not in USE, or the spa will get cold & dirty. Secure Cover and Do Not turn down the Temperature at check out. *PLEASE NOTE, not all cabins have private hot tubs.

 

  1. “Change your thoughts, Change your World.” Norman Vincent Peale – How does this relate to checking out? We hope that you are more rejuvenated after your vacation and that your positive energy will be contagious, and that you will inspire the world! 

 

We appreciate your assistance with the above items. Failing to comply with all check-out procedures may result in loss of deposit and/or cost of repair.

By signing this agreement, I Guest hereby agree to give permission for Big Bear Lakefront Cabins to use my email for future marketing emails, knowing that I can unsubscribe at any time.

I Guest agree that I am 25 years of age or older.  I Guest understand that the amount of (stated in my booking) is authorized by me to be charged to the card number below. I Guest UNDERSTAND THAT I will NOT be asking for any money refunded for any challenges that occur during my stay as Big Bear Lakefront Cabins does NOT offer refunds under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Please purchase travelers’ insurance for refunds. I will contact the rental company immediately to inform them of any challenges so that they can correct any issues in a timely manner. 

Refund policy: Within 14 days of the reservation check-in date, payment is non-refundable. Bookings canceled within 30 days of the reservation check-in date and at least 14 days before the start of stay will receive a 50% refund. FREE cancellation is allowed for canceled reservations WITHOUT a paid deposit prior to 30 days from the reservation’s check-in date. If a deposit has been charged, a 15% cancellation fee ($150 min) will be charged for any canceled reservation prior to 30 days from the reservation’s check-in date. In addition, I authorize my credit card to be charged up to $1000 for any excessive cleaning, damages, broken or missing items, and anything not adhered to in the above rental agreement. Charges will be taken from the deposit for failure to comply with any of the above items and/or immediate ejection from the property.

I Guest understand that during periods of high fire danger, Bear Valley Electric and other Southern California utilities may implement Public Safety Power Shutoffs without notice to reduce wildfire risk. I acknowledge that these outages are beyond the control of Sierra Canyon Enterprises and/or its associates, are not grounds for refunds or reservation changes, and agree to hold harmless and indemnify Sierra Canyon Enterprises and its associates for any inconvenience or loss resulting from such outages.

I Guest have seen pictures & a description of the property & understand that the property is as is depicted on the internet and understand that I am renting a vacation rental home at my own risk, and I am assuming all risks associated with this rental and agree to hold harmless and indemnify Sierra Canyon Enterprises and/or its associates. 

In consideration of being permitted to enter and use any of the facilities managed by Big Bear Lakefront Cabins, Inc. / Sierra Canyon Enterprises, Inc. I Guest agree to the following:  I understand that there are inherent risks, including bodily injury, property damage, and death, involved with the use of the facilities and items on or in the facilities to include but not be exclusive of Hot Tubs, Spas, Rock Walls, Open Loft Spaces, Elevated Beds, Icy walkways and Driveways. Risks also include injury or damage suffered as a result of the acts or omissions of others (members of my party, other guests, or third parties). I fully accept those risks, and on behalf of myself, my heirs, relatives, and all persons, I agree to hereby forever waive, release from liability, and covenant not to sue Big Bear Lakefront Cabins / Sierra Canyon Enterprises Inc., its owners, officers, directors, subsidiary companies, franchisor, employees, representatives, affiliates, and/or agents, from any and all claims for any injuries or damages of any kind and nature, however, caused, that I may suffer resulting from, connected with, or arising out of, the use of these facilities to include but not be exclusive of Hot Tubs, Spas, Fire Pits, Fireplaces, Rock Walls, Open Loft Spaces, Elevated Beds, Icy walkways and Driveways.

I further agree to defend, hold harmless and indemnify Big Bear Lakefront Cabins, Inc. / Sierra Canyon Enterprises, Inc., its owners, officers, directors, subsidiary companies, franchisor employees, representatives, affiliates, and agents, from any and all claims, costs, expenses, legal fees, losses, damages, liabilities, or injuries resulting from, connected with or arising out of my acts or omissions, related to the use of the facilities to include but not be exclusive of Hot Tubs, Spas, Rock Walls, Fire Pits, Fireplaces, Open Loft Spaces, Elevated Beds, Icy walkways and Driveways. 

The foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of California, and if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

I Guest have CAREFULLY READ and UNDERSTAND its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability, a waiver of legal rights to collect damages in the event of injury, death, or property damages, and an agreement not to sue Big Bear Lakefront Cabins, Inc. / Sierra Canyon Enterprises, Inc., its individual homeowners, owners, officers, directors, subsidiary companies, franchisor employees, representatives, affiliates, and/or agents and I sign it of my own free will. I agree that selecting a “submit” button on this document via computer acts as my valid handwritten signature of approval and agreement herein.

By signing below, I Guest, the guest listed on the reservation affirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Rental Agreement and all associated rules. The signing guest further agrees that this signature represents the agreement and commitment of all persons in their group to abide by the terms of this policy. The signing guest accepts full responsibility for ensuring that every member of their party complies with these rules and understands that any violations by members of the group will be treated as violations by the signing guest.

I have CAREFULLY READ and UNDERSTAND this entire agreement and am willing to comply with it entirely, and I will hold Big Bear Lakefront Cabins and the associated homeowners HARMLESS and Indemnify them from ANY and ALL BODILY INJURY and/or PERSONAL PROPERTY DAMAGE INCURRED.

I Guest agree that booking this cabin acts as my valid handwritten signature of approval and agreement herein.
