Does it Snow in Big Bear in December?

This is the question that is likely on the forefront of holiday travelers’ minds. The snowfall history of Big Bear shows that it there is a possibility for a white Christmas, but not a guarantee. December through April is typically when it snows in Big Bear, but the amounts vary from year to year.

However, this does not mean there won’t be any snow at all. In the event that snow doesn’t fall naturally, you can still experience it. The ski areas and snow parks produce steady amounts of snow for winter activities. Their proximity to Big Bear Lake makes this easier as it supplies enough water for the resorts and snow parks to cover 100% of their runs in blankets of snow that reach from up to three or five feet.
